“The WPXI $1100 Auto Show Cash Giveaway Contest”
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
ELIGIBILITY: Subject to the additional restrictions below, The WPXI $1100 Auto show Cash Giveaway Contest (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to residents of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry. Employees of WPXI, Inc. (“Sponsor”), Cox Broadcasting, Inc., and each of their respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.
HOW TO ENTER AND WIN: The Sweepstakes will consist of one (1) prize drawing. In that drawing, a total of one (1) grand prize, made up of one (1) eleven hundred dollar ($1100) check will be awarded. To enter, you must attend the 2012 Auto Show at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh and find the WPXI booth (the “Entry Site”). There you will find a registration stand where the entry forms will be located. You must fill out the entry form by giving your name, address, birth date, e-mail address and daytime telephone number for a chance to win. Entry Site will be open starting on Friday February 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. (E.T.) until 6:00 p.m. (E.T.) on Sunday February 19, 2012 (“Sweepstakes Period”). ALTERNATE ENTRY: For those who are unable to attend the Auto Show, there will be a contest link available on the WPXI.com site, in the Auto Show news story, so that they too may enter. When Sweepstakes Period is over, Sponsor will select one (1) winner in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. You may enter as many times as you would like. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.
PRIZE DESCRIPTION; ODDS: The one (1) grand prize Winner will be given one (1) check for eleven hundred dollars ($1100). Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
WINNER NOTIFICATION AND ACCEPTANCE: Sponsor will contact Winner directly by phone after 12:00 p.m. (E.T.) on Monday February 20, 2012. The name of the Winner will also be listed on the WPXI website (www.wpxi.com) after 5:00 p.m. (E.T.) on Monday March 15, 2011. Winner may waive their right to receive prize. Prize is nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes each entrant’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.
PARTICIPATION: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and the Sweepstakes judges appointed by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
CONSTRUCTION: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
SPONSOR: The WPXI $1100 Auto Show Cash Giveaway Contest is sponsored by WPXI, Inc. The decisions of Sponsor and the Sweepstakes judges regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Sweepstakes shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Sweepstakes.
